STILES UPS THE ANTE — One week out from the deadline to sign up for the race for NDP leader, sole contender MARIT STILES is bringing out the big guns.
As wannabe captain of the Official Opposition, Stiles took some bold steps in recent days.
That includes asking Auditor General BONNIE LYSYK to investigate the Ford government’s hot-potato move to open 7,400 acres of the Greenbelt for development.
It comes after reports that many developers — also deep-pocketed PC donors — had bought now-lucrative land since the PCs came to power, with several purchases happening in 2018 — the same year DOUG FORD was recorded telling developers behind closed doors that he would open up “a big chunk” of the protected lands.
Stiles — the presumed Oppo leader — is taking the lead.
