POLL WATCH — More than half of Ontarians agree with the Ford government’s move to keep unvaccinated health care workers on the job with regular Covid testing.
That’s the upshot from a Maru Public Opinion Survey released this morning, which also suggests most folks support locking back down if daily case counts hit 1,000.
By the numbers: Fifty-six per cent of those surveyed said unvaccinated health care workers should remain on the job with regular testing in order to clear backlogged patient cases. Folks who felt that way were most likely to live in the Hamilton and Niagara regions (62 per cent) and the North (60 per cent), with an average majority (53 per cent) in the GTA.
On the flip side, 44 per cent said health care workers should be expelled or barred, with those in the 416 feeling that sentiment the strongest (50 per cent).
