President DONALD TRUMP is vowing to place stiff new tariffs on Canada and Mexico no matter what, raising the prospect of a devastating trade war.

Ford made a campaign pit stop in Niagara Falls on Friday to announce a $22-billion infrastructure plan for the region, where he also isn’t ruling out more casinos as part of a tourism push. That’s earned the PCs an endorsement from all local mayors.
Ford, who still hasn’t met with Trump, said he’ll work “hand in hand” with the feds on retaliatory tariffs, and wants to see Canada hit back with a dollar-for-dollar response.
