BOYCOTT AT THE BOX OFFICE — TIFF’s decision to yank The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue from its 2025 lineup has set off a political firestorm at Queen’s Park, with some Progressive Conservative MPPs now openly boycotting the Toronto International Film Festival.

The documentary focuses on the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, and TIFF reportedly told filmmakers it could not be screened without approval from Hamas for certain footage — a rationale that has infuriated politicians across party lines.

PC sources say caucus members have been quietly told to steer clear of TIFF events this year and whispers of an unofficial ban are making the rounds.
