FORD HOLDS FORTH — It had been a hot minute since DOUG FORD met with reporters — making Wednesday’s Q-and-A session a doozy. Here’s everything the Premier said, and why it matters:
On today’s incoming Science Centre report: “You’ll fall off your chair.” Ford teased details of a second engineering report — which Infrastructure Minister KINGA SURMA drops this morning — that lays out concerns with the aging building.
“When I have two engineering reports back to back — and I was briefed for over an hour, on just about every issue you can possibly think of — it just doesn’t make sense to throw good money into an old decrepit building.”
And it’s “not just the roof” — which was flagged as a concern in the government’s initial engineering report that was used to justify the Science Centre’s abrupt closure. Today’s report is a peer review of the initial report.
