Welcome back from the holiday weekend. In case you missed it, I asked politicos what they’re grateful for this Thanksgiving and rounded up the holiday headlines. Check it out.

Driving this week: The PCs have released the regulations for the strong-mayor legislation, hammering out the fine print for the new and sometimes controversial law that wold give sweeping new authority to the Mayors of Toronto and Ottawa.

That includes a veto over bylaws that conflict with provincial priorities, namely housing, and more power over the budget and hiring of top officials.

The fine print: When Housing Minister STEVE CLARK first tabled the legislation, some critics were wary of the definition of “provincial priorities,” which was vague and raised concerns that it could be applied too broadly.

The Ford government has now laid out the specifics:
