POLL WATCH — The Tories still dominate in Ontario, but the Liberals are gaining steam in key pockets of the province and could knock them off their pedestal in 2026.

That’s the upshot from the latest public-opinion survey from Liaison Strategies, which, like most other polls, puts the PCs in the lead mid-mandate.

By the numbers: Thirty-eight per cent of decided and leaning voters said they’d cast their ballot for the PCs, compared to 30 per cent that would vote Liberal and 22 per cent that would pick the NDP. Another five per cent each backed the Greens or another party.

Zoom in: The region-by-region breakdown is where it gets interesting.

“While DOUG FORD is leading the Crombie Liberals by 8 points, the regionals are looking a little rosier for BONNIE CROMBIE,” said DAVID VALENTIN, chief pollster at Liaison Strategies.
