Jones was up to announce consultations on an even broader scope of practice for pharmacists — including prescribing powers for common ailments such as sore throats, to ease the burden on physicians and hospitals — but she was evasive when asked about the costs and fees involved, as well as a review of the troubled MedsCheck program.
