Context: It’s a redux — MPPs were initially supposed to come back from the summer recess on September 13, but the Ford government prorogued and pushed back their return, citing uncertainty around the federal election. Opposition critics cried foul — suggesting the PCs didn’t want to hurt their federal cousins’ electoral prospects — and have been urging them to get back to work now that the election is over.
