DAMAGE CONTROL — We’re just a few hours out from what’s expected to be a bombshell report from the Auditor General on the Ford government’s hot-potato Greenbelt land swap — and the Tories are already readying their defence.

In the arsenal: Publicly, the PCs put out a splashy ad yesterday afternoon that touts the line they’ve been using to justify why they decided to open up 7,400 acres of the Greenbelt — while swapping in 9400 acres elsewhere — in the name of housing.

“We have two choices. We can sit back and ignore Ontario’s housing crisis or we can build more homes. Our government is choosing to build,” reads the accompanying tweet from the Premier’s account.
