If you work at Queen’s Park you now have full access to Queen’s Park Observer, thanks to a subscription through the Legislative Library. Here’s what you need to know.
Who can sign up?
Anyone who works at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario — MPPs, their staff, and staff of the LAO. That includes folks whose email address ends with @ola.org, @pc.ola.org, @ndp.on.ca, @liberal.ola.org, etc. Not sure if you’re eligible? Reach out to me or the Library to find out.
How do I get on the list?
Send me or the Library your name and email address. One subscription per reader please! We want to make sure everyone who wants the newsletter will get it directly in their inbox — so no forwarding to colleagues in your office, just send us the list of email addresses and we’ll make sure they’re signed up.
I’m already on the free list. Do I have to do anything to get on the Library’s paid list?
No. I’ll automatically move you over so there won’t be any interruptions. If I missed you, apologies! Let me know and I’ll get right on it.
What if I’ve already paid for a subscription?
I’ll give you a refund upon request — or better yet, you can gift your subscription! If you know a fellow Queen’s Park watcher who’d enjoy reading the newsletter, let me know and I’ll switch your subscription over to them.
What do I get from the Library subscription?
Everything Queen’s Park Observer has to offer — a daily email in your inbox at 6 a.m. Monday through Friday (let’s say 6ish when the House isn’t sitting), special editions, the ability to post comments and take part in subscriber-only discussion threads, and full access to the archive.
Queen’s Park Observer is written by me, Sabrina Nanji. Read our biggest scoops here, find out more about the premise here, and catch up on my inspiration in this teaser post. As always, send me your suggestions — and tips! — directly at sabrina@qpobserver.ca.
