WHERE THE PARTIES ARE AT — Happy byelection day, Scarborough-Guildwood and Kanata-Carleton. Here’s how the night is going down:

9 p.m.: Polls close in the back-to-back votes, and results should roll in on Elections Ontario’s website soon after. We should know who the victors are within the hour.

In Kanata-Carleton: PC SEAN WEBSTER is hoping to hang on to the seat that was abruptly vacated by MERRILEE FULLERTON — but he’s up against a heavyweight challenger in former Liberal MP KAREN McCRIMMON. New Democrats are giving them a run for their money with MELISSA COENRAAD — who they insist is picking up momentum (read on for more) — while the Greens are looking to woo young folks by picking Ottawa U student STEVEN WARREN to carry their banner.
