It’s been a grey and dreary weekend, but the provincial government has a bright spot for us in the form of the annual Sunshine List — and it’s bigger than ever.
This year’s list of public servants earning $100,000 or more clocked in at a record 377,666, sparking Ontario’s age-old debate over whether the threshold is relevant anymore thanks to inflation. Taking inflation into account, the bar for disclosure would be somewhere around $185,000 today — but the Ford government hasn’t been keen on raising it.
