COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN — The Ford government is in the midst of a comms headache that’s clearly getting under the Premier’s skin, giving fresh oxygen to rumours of an early recess and winter cabinet shuffle.
Bill 60 bugaboos: DOUG FORD has been visibly riled up all week. He came out swinging against so-called “left-wing radicals” and “paid professional protesters” with threats of targeted audits (that he promptly walked back) against those who oppose the PCs omnibus housing legislation.
And now, they’re hitting back.
Tenant advocacy group ACORN fired off a pointed letter asking Ford to actually meet with them, reminding him that Bill 60 was fast-tracked through due process, skipping the public-hearing stage at committee, so they had no “meaningful avenue” to provide input. “Our only recourse was to make our concerns known at the Legislature — which we did peacefully,” the group wrote…
