WRIT DROP — And they’re off!

It’s official: Voters in Milton and Lambton-Kent-Middlesex will head to the polls on Thursday, May 2. Regular readers will already know the lay of the land by now (if you’re new here, catch up).

Here’s the latest:

Timeline: Candidate nominations close at 2 p.m. on April 18, but the main parties already have their contenders locked in. Advance polls run April 21 to 26. With Elections Ontario electronic vote tabulators, we’ll know who the newest MPPs on the block are within a couple hours (or less) of polls closing at 9 p.m. on May 2.

On the ticket: In Milton, it’s shaping up to be a tight race between the PCs ZEE HAMID and the Liberals GALEN NAIDOO HARRIS. The NDP have secured EDIE STRACHAN, a regional VP for OPSEU, while the Greens are running KYLE HUTTON, a former contender and fellow electoral map…
