Potential fireworks as DOUG FORD takes to the podium in Mississauga this morning — but first: New Democrats are going full-on campaign mode.

Meanwhile, Oppo Leader MARIT STILES told Global News she’s on a “10-week sprint” focused on fundraising, candidates and door-knocking as the party prepares for a snap vote. Another sign: the NDP, like Liberals, are ramping up candidate nominations, starting tomorrow with CHANDRA PASMA in Ottawa West-Nepean, a seat they poached from the PCs.
Poking holes in Stiles’s theory: If we’re going to the polls ahead of 2026, Tory sources previously told me they expect that to happen no sooner than early Spring 2025, because the PC candidate nomination process won’t get underway until this Fall. Ford also ruled out a 2024 vote, but he’s been pretty coy about the matter.
