Meet DOUG FORD’s new cabinet, pretty much the same as the old cabinet — with some notable promotions and demotions.

If you’re reading this newsletter, you probably already know who’s who on Ford’s front bench. Here’s a handy list just in case.

As expected, there were few high-stakes changes during Wednesday’s swearing-in ceremony at the ROM. But there were still significant moves, and I’m here to help you read between the lines of what it all means, and what comes next.

Ford takes the oath.

Major moves: PAUL CALANDRA is out at Housing and Municipal Affairs and is headed for Education. That’s something my sources mused about earlier this week. While Calandra was seen as a fixer following the Greenbelt scandal and then-minister Clark’s resignation, housing starts and building permits are in the toilet. Not to mention: Ford and Calandra beefed last year over Calandra’s handling of the keffiyeh ban, after which Ford stripped him of his duties as House Leader and Legislative Af…
