SPRING KICK-OFF — MPPs are heading back to the Pink Palace with a bang this morning following the winter recess, featuring a smorgasbord of hot-potato policies, a contentious omnibus bill and the usual politicking. Let’s set the table.
The vibe from the Ford government is to “get back on track” after a raucous year and steady stream of fiascos, Tory sources tell me. That means getting back to their bread-and-butter policies, especially those aimed at keeping cost-of-living down and spurring big builds like highways. You can also expect more BONNIE CROMBIE bashing, as the new yet seat-less Liberal Leader looks to close the gap with the PCs.
Hence the aptly titled omnibus Get It Done Act — a nod to their 2022 campaign slogan — which will hit the Clerk’s table this afternoon.
