PARTIES PARTY — With all the talk of an early election, DOUG FORD and BONNIE CROMBIE are gearing up for big love-ins with supporters and donors.
HOT DOG FILES II — Just over two weeks out from Ford Fest, the PCs are pumping up this summer’s edition of the Ford family’s regular community barbecue, which will be held in Milton (scooped here) — where the Tories and MPP ZEE HAMID are fresh off a byelection victory.
I’ve confirmed reports of robocalls going out to supporters promoting the August 16 bash.
In them, Ford boasts about “free hamburgers, hot dogs, halal burgers and veggie burgers, and free T-shirts and bottles for the first 500 guests.” Plus, “there’ll be live music, free carnival rides for the kids and fun for the entire family.” Supporters are then directed to the party’s website where they can make a donation after signing up.
