ANYBODY BUT CROMBIE — When it comes to the next Liberal captain, BONNIE CROMBIE is the perceived frontrunner — boasting the most name recognition, (self-reported and therefore possibly inflated) membership sign-ups, and the biggest fundraising haul compared to her leadership rivals.
But not everyone is on the Crombie train, and there’s a growing movement of self-proclaimed “Never Crombies” among the party grassroots. Their biggest beefs include Crombie’s wishy-washy comments — since backtracked — on governing from centre-right, health care spending and the Greenbelt.
